So, could you describe how your speaker/headphones are setup? Are you using a laptop with a docking station? Is it linked through usb? Is it a secondary soundcard that you upgraded or is it the built in soundcard? Is it a usb soundcard? When using a headset, exactly what models of headsets did you try? You said one was analog and one usb. Most systems this is plug in play, but the threads and configuration FAQ usually fix the few sound issues that some people run into. Most apps you wouldn't notice a delay because you don't hear it on both sides (guitar and speaker).
This app is one of the few that is very critical on delays of sound because you are trying to play a gutiar, have it processed, and hear it through the speakers. So there has to be something on the output of sound from your computer. The only other cause that we have ran into is trying to use a cable that is not the Real Tone cable, but you said above you were using that. It is usually the output of sound from your computer. So for me the "game" is useless.if there is no "normal" way to fix it, wtf did the game developerĪs you can see, there is one main problem with delay. Thanks for all your suggestions, anyway.Originally posted by Vimozahr#cörve:i checked the links.i hoped there is one main problem and its easy to fix it but its not. Rocksmith 2014 Launcher for playing without original RealTone cable (nocable fix). I had the same issue on that machine so, it looks like I have a bad cable, unfortunately. Just thought I'd see if anyone here had some ideas before I contact Ubisoft, which I expect to be a drawn out, irritating process.ĮDIT: I dragged my XBox 360 out of the closet and tried the cable with the original version of Rocksmith. But, then after a happy dance, I went to the other room to get a beer, and it wasn't working when I got back. Second, I did get it to work once briefly after a full power cycle on the computer. So, the cable is passing the signal on some level. it won't let me proceed past low E but, sometimes (not always) I can still see the animated sound waves coming from the amp when I strum. First, because sometimes when I'm on the tuning screen, there is no sound from the strings. The next logical guess would be the cable itself but, while I'm not ruling that out, I don't really believe that is the culprit for a couple of reasons. According to the logs, it doesn't appear that Windows has installed some new USB driver that I'm not aware of so, I don't think anything has changed there. Since the issue arose I haven't been able to get it to work on either.
I've gotten it to work with both USB 2 & 3 in the past but, 2.0 has always been more reliable so, that's the one I use. I even tried a different guitar, and both guitars work with an amp. I've checked volume knobs and all that stuff. The cable is detected but, there's no sound from the guitar. Suddenly a couple of days ago, I encountered this problem, and haven't been able to get it to work since. I've been using Rocksmith for a month or so with few issues.
